Problems with Social Anxiety & Low Self Esteem are as prevalent as ever, but fortunately they respond well to therapy, especially a structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach.

This workshop will demonstrate how to apply an empathic, exploratory, motivational, developmental, and even existential CBT approach to these issues. CBT is well known as an evidence-based, scientific approach, but it is still a common misunderstanding that this means it has to be formulaic or non-relational.

Participants on this course will be provided with the opportunity to develop a more engaged, process-oriented, person-centred view of CBT, which fits well with other models of therapy, and to get a feel of how it can be helpful in working with the self-criticism, over-caution, distorted sense of other people’s views, and self-consciousness found in Social Anxiety and Low Self-Esteem.
