Training & Accreditation
A fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP): Through collaboration, building the relationship and offering a sense of humanity, Ray has found people feel safe and comfortable to discuss any issue whilst also realising the need to do it at the client’s pace. Understanding by encouraging a client to make their own choices, the presenting riddle can be solved. By this I mean the labels of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem/confidence become less defining. By coming to this new understanding, the therapist witnesses a person no longer burdened or overwhelmed by their problems. The riddle can quickly become a broad base of achievements in the client’s life.
Whether it be times of need, anxiety, supports, personal development and understanding yourself, how you can be in primary control of your own destiny; I am here to help you fulfil your life journey. Together, we are stronger and made more complete by collaboratively understanding fulfilment by walking your journey together.
Communicating and educating clients on Cognitive Behavioural therapy CBT, unwanted thoughts and resilience techniques on things such as compromising in your own mind and language on potential conflicting situations in your own mind and language even to oneself.
Experience & Areas of Interest
I work with a diverse range of people and invite the challenge of different types of therapy and its processes, whether it be individual, relationship/couples/groups counselling. I have worked with all diverse/ethnic groups on my extensive journey and come from a background in the homeless services, dealing with potentially the most vulnerable in society; so no issue feels outside of my sphere/experience/comfort zone. From Addiction and mental health issues covering such areas as ADHD, Food disorders; Bulimia, anorexia and Autism to major anxiety issues it has been a wonderful experience to help presenting people not only come to terms and combat it; but also to reach the stars and achieve their goals having the cumulative knock on effect of being fulfilled and happy in their lives and relationships: the ultimate goal!
