Norma Simpson

Training & Accreditation

Norma holds a BSc (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy. Norma studied counselling and psychotherapy at PCI College in Dublin and has previously worked in the voluntary sector.

Norma adheres to the code of ethics of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and is an accredited member of this organisation.

Approach

She provides a secure, warm and non-judgemental environment in which the clients’ natural capacity for healing, self-understanding and change is supported. Her approach is both humanistic and integrative. Norma draws on a range of modalities including person-centred therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic theory based on the individual needs of each client.

Experience & Areas of Interest

She has helped clients to navigate a number of issues, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, work-related issues, challenging relationships, health concerns, life changes, sexuality and grief and loss.
