Training & Accreditation

Krysia has been supporting people in their wellness journey for the last 17 years. Krysia’s practice focuses on women’s health, babies, children and mental health.

In 2006 she graduated from The Irish School of Homeopathy having completed her four year Licentiate in Classical Homeopathy. In 2007, she completed her postgraduate course in Homeooathy and in 2008, following a two year CPD and registration program was admitted to the Irish Society of Homeopathy.

She is a trained breastfeeding counselor and offers breastfeeding support both through La Leche of Ireland and as part of her Postnatal Doula Work.

Krysia had twenty years lecturing facilitation and teaching experience and she holds a PhD and Masters degree in Science.

Approach

She has huge  experience working as a doula in Dublin and she has attended over 90 births in all three Dublin maternity hospitals as well as at home. She has supported women through induction, through c births through unmedicated vaginal births thorough water births and also through medicalised births.

She is probably Ireland’s no 1 maternity care advocate and she has an in depth knowledge of all aspects of research and evidence associated with maternity care. She is currently the Chair of AIMS Ireland and as such is often an invited speaker at international and national maternity conferences.

Experience & Areas of Interest

Krysia sits on many national maternity committees and was instrumental in the creation of Ireland’s National Maternity Strategy. She now is a key member of the National Maternity Strategy’s Implementation Group and was instrumental in the creation of a Maternity Service User Advisory Board for Ireland. She was also the Service User Representative on our Perinatal Mental Health Strategy and currently sits in the HIQA steering committee for our National Maternity Experience Survey.

Krysia is an accredited Birthing from Within Mentor and doula and has been teaching antenatal childbirth education classes since 2003.

She writes for numerous blogs on maternity care and is also an Agony Aunt in The Journal.ie s parenting column.

She is delighted to be part of the Insight Matters Team offering Homeopathic consultations, Antenatal Education, Birth Story Medicine, Breastfeeding and Doula support.
