Bernie has a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from ICHAS College. She is working towards her accreditation with APCP.
Bernie worked with couples and individuals as a Doula before re-training as a psychotherapist. She felt that work led her to become a therapist, as she enjoyed supporting people, through the vast range of emotions experienced during this major life transition.
I ground my practice in a person-centred approach. I feel the safety of the therapeutic relationship is key to creating a space of openness and trust.
I have worked with clients on a wide range of areas; such as depression, anxiety, grief, self esteem, relationships & intimacy, separation, family challenges, workplace stress and improving communication.
