Training & Accreditation
“The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major
vehicle of therapeutic help.”
– Irvin D. Yalom
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a BSc Hons (Level 8) in Integrative
Counselling & Psychotherapy from the Institute of Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy
(IICP). I am also a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and
Psychotherapy (IACP), adhering to their Code of Ethics to ensure the highest professional
standards in my practice.
Approach
As a humanistic existential therapist, I work from an integrative approach, drawing on a range of
therapeutic models, including psychodynamic, person-centred, relational, and behavioural. My
aim is to provide a safe, confidential, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can
explore the challenges you are facing.
Whether you are struggling with a current situation at home or work, feeling overwhelmed by
daily tasks, experiencing difficulties in forming or maintaining relationships, or grappling with
unresolved issues from the past, therapy can offer a path forward. Together, we can work through
these dilemmas, helping you gain clarity, understanding, and the tools to navigate life’s
challenges.
Experience & Areas of Interest
I have experience working with clients on a wide range of issues, including trauma, abuse,
anxiety, intrusive thoughts, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, relationship difficulties, and
mental health challenges.
I have a particular interest in trauma and attachment, exploring how early attachment experiences
and traumatic events shape and influence our present lives. Understanding these patterns can be
transformative, offering insights that lead to meaningful change and personal growth.
