I am an experienced adolescent and adult psychotherapist who, prior to moving into private practice, worked as a therapist and clinical assessor in Pieta House. I believe  that we are always doing our best to cope with the challenges that face us. I also believe a supportive therapeutic relationship can help to generate new and more choiceful ways of coping. In my work with adolescents and young adults (12 – 24yrs.), and their parents where possible, I focus on facilitating growth and development and on alleviating psychological distress. I am experienced in working effectively with, among others, the following presenting issues with both adult and adolescent clients: Anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, disordered eating, suicidal thoughts and feelings, self-harm and the impact of family separation.
